الله أكبر

Allahu Akbar

Allah is greatest

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ  وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَلاَ إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

Transliteration to help with pronunciation:
Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta’ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk

Translation : “Glorious You are O Allah, and with Your praise, and blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You.”

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.

‘Al-Hamdu lillahi Rabbil-‘Aalamin

الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

‘Ar-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

Master of the Day of Judgment.

Maaliki Yawmid-Diin

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

It is You we worship, and upon You we call for help.

‘Iyyaaka na’-budu wa ‘iyyaaka nasta-‘iin

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Guide us to the straight path.

‘Ihdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqiim

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

The path of those You have blessed, not of those against whom there is anger, nor of those who are misguided.

Siraatal-laziina ‘an-‘amta ‘alay him-Gayril-magzuubi ‘alay him wa laz-zaaalliin.

سورة الإخلاص

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ  1   اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ  2   لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ  3  وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ    4                   

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Qul huwal laahu ahad
Allah hus-samad
Lam yalid wa lam yoolad
Wa lam yakul-lahoo kufuwan ahad
Translation
With the name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the Very-Merciful.

Say, :The truth is that Allah is One.
Allah is Besought of all, needing none.
He neither begot anyone, nor was he begotten.
And there hath never been co-equal with Him anyone.

During Ruku (bowing down in prayer) – 1

(3)   سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ

Subhaana Rabbiyal-‘Adheem
Glory to my Lord the Exalted.
At-Tirmidhi 1:83

Or

During Ruku (bowing down in prayer) 

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي

Subhaanaka Allaahumma Rabbanaa wa bihamdika Allaahum-maghfir lee
Glory is to You , O Allah , our Lord , and praise is Yours . O Allah , forgive me.

Duaas for rising from the Ruku

سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ

Sami’allaahu liman hamidah.
Translation
Allah hears whoever praises Him.

Rabbanaa wa lakal-hamd, hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubaarakanfeeh.
Translation
Our Lord, praise is Yours, abundant, good and blessed praise. 

رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، حَمْداً كَثِيراً طَيِّباً مُبَارَكاً فِيهِ

Dua in prostration (sujood)

(3)  سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى

Subhaana Rabbiyal-A ‘laa

Glory is to my Lord, the Most High.

At-Tirmidhi 1:83

When sitting between two Sujood (Prostrations) – 1

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي

Rabbighfir lee, Rabbighfir lee
Lord, forgive me. My Lord, forgive me.

Or
 

When sitting between two Sujood (Prostrations) – 2

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَاجْبُرْنِي، وَعَافِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي، وَارْفَعْنِي

Allaahum-maghfir lee, warhamnee, wahdinee, wajburnee, wa ‘aafinee, warzuqnee, warfa’nee
O Allah forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, support me, protect me, provide for me and elevate me.

When you sit down (Tashahhud)

التَّحِيَّاتُ للهِ، وَالصَّلَوَاتُ، وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ. أّشَْدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

Attahiyyaatu lillaahi wassalawaatu , wattayyibaatu , assalaamu ‘alayka ‘ayyuhan-Nabiyyu wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu, assalaamu ‘alaynaa wa ‘alaa ‘ibaadillaahis-saaliheen. ‘Ash-hadu ‘an laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wa ‘ash-hadu ‘anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasooluhu

All greetings of humility are for Allah, and all prayers and goodness. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.

After that                                          Durood Ibrahim

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ،
اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

Allaahumma salli ‘alaa Muhammadin wa ‘alaa ‘aali Muhammadin, kamaa sallayta ‘alaa ‘Ibraaheema wa ‘alaa ‘aali ‘Ibraaheema, ‘innaka Hameedun Majeed. Allaahumma baarik ‘alaa Muhammadin wa ‘alaa ‘aali Muhammadin, kamaa baarakta ‘alaa ‘Ibraaheema wa ‘alaa ‘aali ‘Ibraaheema, ‘innaka Hameedun Majeed

O Allah, bestow Your favor on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad as You have bestowed Your favor on Ibrahim and on the family of Ibrahim, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You have blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

Al-Bukhari: 320

Dua After Durood Ibrahim

رَبِّ اجعَلنى مُقيمَ الصَّلوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتى ۚ رَبَّنا وَتَقَبَّل دُعاءِ رَبَّنَا اغفِر لى وَلِوٰلِدَىَّ وَلِلمُؤمِنينَ يَومَ يَقومُ الحِسابُ


Rabbij ‘alnee muqeemas Salaati wa min zurriyyatee Rabbanaa wa taqabbal du’aaa’
Rabbanagh fir lee wa liwaalidaiya wa lilmu’mineena Yawma yaqoomul hisaab

Meaning of RabbiJ Alni Muqimas Salati in English

My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.
Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established.”

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْماً كَثِيراً، وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ_

Allaahumma ‘innee dhalamtu nafsee dhulman katheeran, wa laa yaghfiruth-thunooba ‘illaa ‘Anta, faghfir lee maghfiratan min ‘indika warhamnee ‘innaka ‘Antal-Ghafoorur-Raheem

O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself and no one forgives sins but You. So, grant me forgiveness and have mercy on me. Surely, you are Forgiving, Merciful.

 Turn your face towards looking over your right shoulder and then turn to left. Each time recite the following:

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah 
Meaning: peace and the mercy of Allah be on you.
